Aside from the abundance of food I love to watch as many Christmas films as humanly possible over the festive period. With channels dedicated to all things Christmas it’s time to grab your popcorn, and let’s get onto my top 10 Christmas films.

What's your favourite Christmas film to snuggle up to in front of the fire?
On Christmas Eve George is seriously considering the world would be a better place without him. A bumbling angel is sent down to show him what life would be like for others if he had never been born, and to make him realise how many lives he has touched because George really does have a wonderful life.

Can a department store Santa be the real deal? It takes one 6 year old girl, some dodgy antics by the rivals and a courtroom full of people to decide. A good old family classic that will never tire.

The unthinkable has happened. One kiddie has been missed so a crazy mission is on to deliver the last present before the magic of Christmas is ruined forever. A fun animated number where everyone watching will be routing for Arthur to succeed.

You have to have a giggle and this film certainly delivers. With Vince Vaughan and Reese Witherspoon having to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day, secrets are exposed and lives re-evaluated.

Jim Carey at his finest. One little cute as a button girl from Whoville has quite the mission to get the grumpy christmas hating Grinch to discover the true meaning of Christmas.

The first in the trilogy, poor santa falls off the roof forcing an ordinary man and his young son to finish off the deliveries. By putting on Santa’s red suit Tim Allen has inadvertently agreed to become St Nicholas and has 11 months to get his things in order, and accept his new life as Santa.

A story without a single word and a song so iconic you can’t help but join in. We have all wished that there was really a Snowman like him out there that will take us on a magical journey.

Kermit, Miss Piggy and all the gang, a little ritual of mine is to pop this on and watch it as I wrap up all the Christmas pressies.

It is the law that I have to watch this every Christmas without fail and you should all too. With one of the best casts ever, it’s warm and fuzzy, and a real feel good film. Love really is all around.

You knew it had to be, there is no denying that Elf is the number one film. With enough enthusiasm to get even Scrooge excited for Christmas, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

We'd love to know...
What is your all time favourite Christmas movie?
