Stuck for something to do? Want to makes the most of Christmas and looking for ideas?
I’ve put together a list of events and thing to do in Norfolk at Christmas, bought to my attention that should be shared, so look no further!

From Norfolk and after some thing to do with the family this festive season?
17th November 6pm
The big event in the city, which truly kicked off the season to be jolly.
The official switch was on 17th November and by none other than Strictly Come Dancing star Ed Balls. Along with the switch on, there was a handcrafters market, a dazzling 45 meter light tunnel and the castle hosted a stunning projection show.

The thought of a dip in the North Sea is enough to put the majority off in summer let alone the depths of winter. All for charity this tradition is a crowd pleaser and gets people some fresh air before tucking in to a sumptuous lunch. You’ll see endless costumes being adorned from classic Santa hats and Christmas jumper to shockingly small swimming trucks to manikins.
An extra present from granny x-mas day. *Wink Wink*

10th November - 23rd December
The largest Christmas show in the country.
With a cast of 130 professional singers and dancer (many of them straight from the West End!) this 3 hours extravaganza packed with non-stop singing, humour and variety. A fully festive celebration to get you in the mood. Book early this is a sell out every year.

What better way to see Santa than to traveling on the Santa Express. Departing from Wroxham and traveling to Santa’s grotto. Arriving at the magical station packed with twinkling lights you’ll be greeted by Santa’s elves and delivered a hand written note inviting you into the Grotto. Then what every child has been waiting for…Santa himself!

13th December - 15th January
A tradition I’m sure most of your will have partaken in just once. The family pantomime. This year Norwich Theatre Royal are taking on Jack & The Beanstalk. Starring Wayne Sleep as Phinease P Stinkworthy. A giant adventure for all.

2nd, 3rd & 4th December
In the lovely village of Burnham Deepdale a quirky Christmas Market takes place. Full of ‘not of the high street’ gifts, decorations, food and drinks. Basically if you can’t find something here, there is no hope.

26th November - 23rd December
The smell of a real Christmas tree is one of my favourites. Nothing can compare. Ditch the plastic mess you usually have and you will never look back. Here at the Great Melton Estate you can go and actually hunt down your favourite looking tree from the farm. A personally picked tree for Christmas – That’s special.

31st December 9pm (+18yrs)
The venue, open recently restored in 2005 from the old banking hall of Norwich is a massive venue turned party central for NYE. This year see Craig Charles take to the stage for an epic Funk & Soul extravaganza. Joined by The invisible Orchestra this 24 piece super group are guaranteed to bring the roof down. Norwich Soul train are hosting room 2 with some hip moving, shape busting tunes. Grab anything glittery and dance you way out of 2016. The hottest ticket in town!

The credit card taken a battering from Christmas shopping? You physically fit to drop? Take an hour out in one of the most unique bars in Norwich. Starting in December the place offers the most wonderful mulled cider and wine. If that doesn’t take your fancy they have local real ales on tap and loads of delicious wines. Be sure to look up and check out the extraordinary ceiling sculpture and miniature train running through the bar.

16th December - 8th January
Back for just the second year and back even bigger. A massive 300 Square meter, real, glistening ice rink with atmospheric light and festive music. Set in the grounds of the castle this is an ideal way to spend an afternoon. For none skaters there is Snowy Joey a 50 foot tall snowman bouncy castle.

We'd love to know...
Are you from Norfolk? Are there any other events you know about we haven't listed happening this Christmas?
